Hurrah! For King George IV

Hello,

This week Crimson Clock Tower is abuzz with excitement, and wasps. The excitement is welcome, the wasps are not.

The reason for the change in mood since last week is that on Saturday October 13th we will be playing at the George IV in (Bore Street) Lichfield, supporting High Horses, music is due to start at 21:30. If you could be there, we would be most pleased to see you - conveniently it's only a few minutes walk from the bus and railway stations.

Lichfield is a city with some musical history, in 1969 a band called Earth played their first UK gig since returning from Hamburg, at a venue in Frog Lane. During the gig they announced that they had changed their name to Black Sabbath. It's also the city where they first performed any of their own music, with the song Black Sabbath getting its first public performance there, in addition it's where Peter Green persuaded Jeremy Spencer to join Fleetwood Mac. Soon Crimson Clocks will be added to the list of bands that have performed there.

Even Quasar has been in a good mood this week, following on from last weeks blog he was recognised in public. It appears that a couple in a pub were arguing as to whether  he was one of the Crimson Clocks team. Apparently the argument was settled as he entered the establishment when Quasar heard one of them exclaim "You see 'im that just walked in? He really is a Clock!". Public recognition must be a wonderful thing.

Don't forget that if you want to contact us, comment on anything, or even want us to play a gig or at an event, we can be contacted via our Facebook page.

Thanks for reading, and until next time, farewell.
